Jamal Abdallah Kidyogo
Executive Director

He is a public intellectual, lawyer and a youth champion. He is also a research, network and learning expert. He is a versatile and experienced development professional with comprehensive African based experience of more than a decade in Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) and in developing internationally significant policy based interventions. He has worked in senior level with CSOs to develop and launch policy-based interventions.

As a Systems Change Specialist, he helps private, public, and non-profit sector clients build their capacity to influence the dynamic environments that sustain complex problems and produce better outcomes for their projects and organizations.

Ali Ali Mwamadzunga

He is a well-disciplined development finance manager with over six years’ experience in finance, banking, ICT and financial literacy in Kwale and Mombasa counties. He has vast experience in monitoring and evaluation, participatory public planning process, institutional strengthening, alternative dispute resolution, gender and social inclusion analysis.

He provides valuable insight and guidance to the organization on various industry-related matters. He plays a key role in shaping the direction and strategy of the organization to achieve its goals. Overall, his extensive knowledge and experience makes him a valuable asset to SMC/JayFm.co as an advisor.

Amina Hassan Mwafrika  
Programs Associate

Amina executes the digital and business strategies working on transparency, accountability, financial literacy and in the mining sector. She holds a senor membership under the Chambers of Commers Kwale County Chapter. Her focus is on youth empowerment, with a network of over 150 youth hubs in Kenya. She brings to the team expertise in
technology, social tradership and innovation. She also heads our partnerships and growth strategy to bring the highest levels of authenticity and value to professionalism.

Jasso Ali Shindo

A public sector professional in the area of Civil & Structural Engineering and entrepreneurship development. Jasso is a Muaythai enthusiast. A skilled monitoring and evaluation expert, trained on violence extremism, sexual reproductive health, education, access to employability, economic empowerment, leadership and governance. Also skilled in mentoring and coaching of groups on wealth creation through construction and real-estate and entrepreneurial skills.

Heidi Mumia is a public sector professional with extensive experience and interest in Public Policy, Governance and Local Economic Development. She currently works in the field of Correctional Services in Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government State Department for Correctional Services in the Republic of Kenya. She is an alumna of the YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa and The Hague Academy for Local Governance. She participated in the African Women Entrepreneurship Cooperative (AWEC) program. Heidi brings on board at advisory level strength in policy and governance.

She sets the organization's vision and works to grow its reach, impact, and influence in the leadership space by developing new ways to build leaders and continuously improving on our exceptional partnership experience. Anne Rose also hones our strategy for growth and excellence and manages the leadership team who guides the daily operations of the organization.

Ramadhan Mwachili
Community Manager/Programme Coordinator

Mwachili is a certified human rights defender, trained by defenders coalition; Global peace Ambassador from Global peace Foundation, with an ICT background. He is a trauma informed trainer with relevant PCVE knowledge and skills. He believes that the future and promise of Africa is with her youth and thus the need to invest in them and get their voices heard.  He is an innovative, strategic thinker and problems solver, with over 10 years of experience in community development. He has worked across the coastal region with communities in different capacities.

Halima has more than a decade of experience in Journalism, philanthropy, film, boxing, martial-arts and communications She is passionate about developing and executing the strategy that will provide the foundation and stability for the organization to lead the innovation agenda and drive the innovation conversation in East Africa, with experience in digital communications and operations which develops and executes the digital strategies for the SMC on transparency, accountability and developing partners.

Programme Coordinator

Mweupe is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the various programs and initiatives that the organization offers to its community. This includes managing budgets, overseeing staff and volunteers, and ensuring that programs are running efficiently and effectively. With over a decade of experience in the sector, Mweupe brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role, and is able to navigate the complexities of community development and engagement. She is a dedicated and passionate leader, committed to helping the community reach its full potential.

Senior Consultant & Programmes Adviser

With her expertise in resource mobilization with a bias in local fundraising; policy development and influencing and Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights. Sabina will be instrumental in supporting our community to provide alternatives for young people and women. Additionally, as a certified trainer in SRHR, which encompasses SGBV, MHM, and more, Sabina brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. We are excited to work with her and learn from her as we continue our mission to drive positive change in our community.

Sahdati Nyule
Programmes Associate

Sahdati plays a vital role in the organization's mission to empower and support individuals and families. He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team; coordinating and implementing programs, working closely with community partners and stakeholders to ensure that the organization's efforts are aligned with the needs of the community.

Sahdati also plays a key role in monitoring and evaluating program outcomes and making recommendations for improvements, ensuring that programs are running smoothly and that clients are receiving the support they need.

Moureen Miduda
Project Officer

Moureen is responsible for managing and coordinating various projects within the community, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. She works closely with community members, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure that all project goals are met and that all project deliverables are of the highest quality. She has developed a deep understanding of the community and its needs, which allows her to effectively lead and manage projects that benefit the entire community. She is a dedicated and skilled professional who is committed to making a positive impact in the community.

Binti Juma
Impact Manager

Binti's role will be to support the programmes in the organization to drive collective and adaptive approaches to achieve a more human-centered and prosperous world; in overseeing and coordinating the implementation of various programs related to youth engagement, countering violent extremism, and conflict resolution.

 

Binti's key responsibilities include guiding clients' agile organizational practices, fostering collaborative partnerships, using data-driven approaches to identify opportunities for improvement, conducting research and analysis on complex social problems, and working closely with our team to achieve our shared goals; with a deep understanding of issues related to gender, peacebuilding, education, and development. Responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to the organization, as well as conducting research, assessments, evaluations, and audits to ensure the effectiveness and impact of programs. Her work plays a crucial role in promoting peace, stability, and development within communities.

Shaban Mwero
Operations Coordinator

Shaban is a specialist in governance, particularly on issues related to violent extremism. He has been involved in multilateral conflict negotiations and provides strategic management support to Smart Move's programs. His efforts have contributed to the design and implementation of various successful programs for almost a decade.

 He is a dynamic and engaging professional with a collaborative spirit capable of advancing our growing Conflict and Food Systems and Inclusive Growth (FSIG) Portfolios. He has both project-specific and more general corporate-level and in project-specific responsibilities working closely with the project teams, including the Impact Manager (IM), Team Leaders (TL), Research Managers (RM) and Project Coordinators (PC), to provide overall operation, risk and financial support to Jay Fm/Smart Move projects and ensure donor compliance with operational, risk and financial processes.
